Según un autor de Ultimate Guitar, la conexión entre la mítica banda y la famosa trilogía es un hecho. Al menos dos de los integrantes de Led Zeppelin eran unos apasionados de El Señor de los Anillos y lo hicieron patente en sus letras. Letras de canciones tales como “Ramble On”, en la que citan una localización (Mordor) y a uno de los personajes principales (Gollum). En “Battle Of Evermore” existe también otra alusión a la historia de Tolkien.
